The system heart of the Falcon 340 and 345 portable data terminals is a powerful 32-bit processor of the 486 series with a clock frequency of 33 MHz. Equipped with a RAM memory of 8 MB as well as a Flash ROM of 2 MB. This flexible architecture also supports an internal Type II PCMCIA card for additional connection of a PC or wireless LAN. Since the Falcon 340 and 345 operate with the standard DOS 6.22 operating system, applications developed for other Falcon® and DOS terminals can also be used.
