Newland WD2 back scanner
With the Newland WD2, Newland offers a reliable and affordable wearable scanner that will make your employees´ daily work easier. Because the WD2 wearable scanner is worn via a wrist strap, it is not an obstacle during high-motion activities such as picking or transferring stock. The scanner is worn comfortably on the hand and does not have to be put away for every small activity. A scan trigger on the wrist strap triggers barcode scans with a light press of the thumb. Immediately afterwards, the user can carry boxes without wasting much time. The WD2 thus enables multitasking for the first time. The hand strap is available in two different sizes and can be worn on either the left or right hand. The hand straps are also large enough for employees to wear gloves underneath. The Newland WD2´s built-in Acuscan technology ensures flawless capture of distorted or tightly placed bar codes. With its superior scanning performance, the WD2 minimizes errors and improves worker productivity. Due to its compact size (58.8 x 48.8 x 18 mm) and light weight (43 g), the wearable scanner will not become a ballast or cause numbness in the hand, even when worn for extended periods of time.
The WD2 is designed for enterprise use. A 670 mAh battery provides the scanner with enough power to run for up to 10 hours. With its fast charge function, the battery is fully ready for use again after 2 hours of charging. The included charging station has two bays that can be connected to create a large multi docking station with up to 10 bays. The Newland WD2 is equipped with 2D megapixel scanning technology that scans high-density, high-volume and distorted 1D and 2D. The standard-range 2D imager uses a red crosshair that enables precise scanning of smaller codes thanks to Acuscan. If codes are grouped closely together, Acuscan allows scanning of the exact item that needs to be captured. A mid-range 2D imager, on the other hand, allows scanning from greater distances and offers precise barcode scanning even from greater distances with a single red dot.

Daisy Chain Charge
The Newland WD2 comes with a compact two-bay charging station that is powered by an AC adapter or USB cable. The charging station can be connected to other charging stations to create a multiple charging station with 4, 6, 8 or 10 slots. Even with 10 bays, optimal power supply is ensured with only one power supply unit.
Freehand work
The Newland WD2 connects to a wrist strap with scan trigger to allow hands-free operation. The trigger is located between the thumb and index finger and can be released conveniently. The wrist strap is available in two different sizes and is suitable for left- and right-handed users. It is also large enough to wear thicker gloves underneath. The scanner is attached to the loop via a magnet and a safety strap, protecting it from coming loose and falling off.
Reliable wireless communication
The Newland WD2 uses Bluetooth 5.0 to pair with other devices, such as the WD1 wrist-mounted Android solution. By pairing with another Newland Android device, barcodes scanned by the WD2 are displayed on the other device´s screen.
