Zebra WS50 Wearable

Most palm scanners require an additional Mobile device to view captured data and process it on the go. The Zebra WS50 is different because it combines a palm scanner with an Mobile device. With its display and integrated scanner, the Zebra WS50 is nothing more than a portable Mobile device in a compact format. Employees therefore only need one device, and that is the Zebra WS50, to work on the move.

The Zebra WS50 may be small and also weighs only 70 grams, but it was created for the hard everyday work in companies and is extremely resistant. It can withstand the most extreme heat and cold, bumps and drops, and even water and dust. The wrist model of the WS50 can withstand drops from a height of 1.2 meters. The more rugged finger and back of hand model can even withstand drops from 1.8 meters. Water and dust protection is taken care of with the Zebra WS50, as it comes with an IP65 seal. The protective front case is replaceable and can be easily replaced if damaged to keep the Zebra WS50 looking like new.

Data capture with the Zebra WS50´s finger and back of hand models uses a professional scan engine. The built-in SE4770 imager delivers excellent scanning performance and can scan almost any barcode in virtually any condition. Even when barcodes are damaged or poorly printed, the Zebra WS50 delivers satisfactory performance. With superior motion tolerance, bar codes can be captured even when the Zebra WS50 or bar codes are in motion. In the long run, it is also not necessary to press the scan button for each scan, because barcode scans can be triggered automatically with an integrated proximity sensor. The Zebra WS50´s large field of view makes capturing large and multiple barcodes very easy.

The wrist model of the Zebra WS50 has to do without a scan engine, but gets a 13 megapixel camera that can also capture and decode barcodes. In addition, highly detailed photos of documents and receipts can be captured with the camera.
