The 3800i Series Portable Industrial Image Capture Devices are the first industrial-grade scanners to feature Honeywell´s industry-leading technology. This technology allows bar codes to be read from a distance of up to 208 cm. For real-world applications, this increased reading range means less climbing and stretching, resulting in increased operator productivity.

The 3800i is based on patented image capture technology. It reads and processes bar code content 270 times per second. In a fraction of a second, Honeywell´s digital image processor effortlessly determines the data content and sends it to the host computer. This proprietary technology always delivers impressive performance, identifying even poorly readable symbols quickly and reliably.
