The 5.5-inch, high-resolution display also offers plenty of space for information and displays texts and images with pin-sharp clarity. With its high screen brightness, the EDA56 delivers excellent screen brightness even in dark and bright environments. To make it even easier to use, the EDA56 has been equipped with the Android 11 operating system. Android 11 offers exactly the same user interface that millions of people are familiar with from their private smartphone and therefore offers a shorter familiarization period. The operating system also receives update support up to Android 13, which significantly increases device security.
The Honeywell ScanPal EDA56 is equipped with a state of the art system architecture that promises the MDE device performance and longevity. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor with 2.0 GHz clock speed provides enough computing power to run complex barcode apps. Thanks to the intelligent processor technology, the EDA56 will also have enough power for many years to support future apps without any problems. Another component of the system architecture is the memory, which is specified as 4 GB RAM /64 GB flash or 6 GB RAM /128 GB flash, depending on the SKU. However, companies are well advised with both memory versions. With Wifi 6 WLAN, NFC and Bluetooth 5.1, the Honeywell EDA56 also has highly modern wireless connections that allow fast data transfer.
To prevent the Honeywell EDA56´s appearance from being damaged by the slightest wrong move, the display and the casing have been built extremely robustly. Among other things, the display is made of robust Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which is crack and scratch resistant, and the casing itself is also made of resistant materials. With an IP67 seal and a drop resistance of 1.3 meters, the EDA56 can survive even demanding areas. A 4500 mAh battery allows for long and uninterrupted use of the EDA56 between charging intervals.
