Metrologic Optimus 5500 Mobile device

The Optimus is a compact mobile data acquisition device from Metrologic. With a data storage capacity of 2MB, the batch version of this advanced PDT (Portable Data Terminal) is ideal for all inventory and document capture applications. Simply scan the data and plug the Optimus back into its station for transfer, which is available with both RS232 and USB connectivity. The Optimus transmits via infrared to the charging and transfer station, avoiding broken contacts and making the device more robust. Optionally, the data can also be sent via IrDA directly to a notebook or PDA, for example.
